Engine Reliability
BMW's first turbocharged inline-6 in the modern era. The N54 is a legend in the tuning community – capable of massive power with simple mods. However, it's a maintenance-intensive engine with well-documented issues: HPFP failures, wastegate rattle, injector problems, and boost leaks. Not for the faint of wallet.
